Acne Treatment Home > Causes Of Acne What are the Causes of Acne and What Can I do About It?If you're fighting acne, you may be wondering about the causes of acne. There are several minor variations among various professionals, but there is also a consensus on several points about the causes of acne The first is that acne is the result of a series of events. The causes of acne are multiple events that culminate in a pimple, blackhead, cyst or other manifestation of acne. Oil, though not the sole culprit as many think, is among the causes of acne. Here's how it starts. Your body is covered with tiny pores that are all but invisible to the naked eye. Your body also produces natural oils. At any given time, oil is being produced inside those pores. The problem occurs when it isn't removed from the pore. Another problem is that there are several reasons that oil may stay inside the pore. That means that there already are multiple causes of acne and we haven't even arrived at the point where the pimple rises up to form a nasty mark on your face! Some professionals cite the connection between hormones and acne, citing hormones as one of the causes of acne. One school of thought is that the hormone imbalance causes the skin to become hypersensitive to the oils. In this theory, the oils aren't the causes of acne, and neither are the hormones. It's a combination of the two, added to an increased sensitivity. There's no real agreement on what causes the sensitivity, or even if this really is one of the causes of acne. Some may remember being told that dirt causes acne. Blackheads were pointed out as an example of that fact. But some believe that blackheads aren't really dirt at all, but merely the result of the oil being compressed into hair follicles growing in the pores of the skin. Another misconception is that teenagers are simply going to get acne, and that nothing really causes the condition. While the professionals can't come to complete agreements about the causes of acne, they can agree that there are causes. Another point to consider is the number of people who suffer from adult acne Make sure to visit our pages about how to get rid of acne Causes Of Acne
